We collect the minimum needed to run your service — nothing more. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and how it's handled.
Forgesite Co. takes privacy seriously. We don't sell your data, we don't run ads, and we don't share your information with third parties for any marketing purpose. We collect only what we need to deliver your website service and communicate with you about it.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't send marketing to third parties. We don't use tracking pixels or behavioral advertising on our site.
What we do
We collect your name, email, phone, and business info to build your site and send invoices. That's it. We use it only to deliver and support your Forgesite service.

This policy applies to all clients and prospective clients who contact Forgesite Co. via email, text, or the forgesiteco.com website.

When you contact us or become a client, we collect:
- Your full name
- Business name and trade type
- Email address
- Phone number
- Business address and service area
- Services you offer
- Any photos, logos, or content you provide for your site
This information is provided by you voluntarily through email, text, or direct communication. We do not use forms that capture data automatically.
Payments are processed through Venmo. Forgesite Co. does not collect, store, or have access to your bank account, credit card, or any other financial account information. We receive only a payment confirmation notification from Venmo.
Invoices are managed through Wave. Wave may store your email address for invoice delivery purposes, governed by their own privacy policy.
The forgesiteco.com website may use basic analytics (such as Google Analytics) to track aggregate page performance — page views, general traffic sources, and device types. This data is anonymous and not linked to any individual.
We do not use session recording, behavioral tracking, or any tools that capture individual browsing behavior on our website.
We use your information solely to deliver and support your Forgesite Co. service. Specifically:
Your business name, trade, services, service area, phone number, and any content you provide is used to design, build, and populate your website. Without this information, we cannot deliver the service.
Your email address and business name are used to issue invoices via Wave. Your email is associated with your account for the purpose of receiving invoices, payment confirmations, and billing-related communications.
Your email and phone number are used to communicate with you about your service — update requests, launch confirmations, monthly check-ins, and support responses. We do not send unsolicited marketing communications to clients.
We never use your info for advertising
Your contact information is never used to target you with ads, added to marketing lists, or shared with any advertising platform. Forgesite Co. does not run advertising and does not participate in data brokerage.
We work with a small number of third-party services to deliver your service. Here's exactly who they are and what data they touch:
Wave (invoicing)
Your name and email are used to generate and deliver invoices. Wave stores this data per their own privacy policy at waveapps.com. We do not share any additional information with Wave beyond what's needed for invoicing.
Venmo (payments)
Payments are made through Venmo by you. Forgesite Co. receives only a payment confirmation — no financial account data is accessible to us. Venmo's privacy policy governs their data handling.
Netlify (hosting)
Your website is hosted on Netlify. Netlify may collect server logs including visitor IP addresses when your site is accessed. This is standard hosting infrastructure data governed by Netlify's privacy policy.
Google Analytics (optional)
The forgesiteco.com marketing site may use Google Analytics to track aggregate traffic. No personal client data is sent to Google Analytics. Individual client sites do not have analytics installed unless specifically requested.
We don't sell or share your data
Beyond the services listed above — which are necessary to operate — we do not share your personal information with any third party for any reason, including marketing, advertising, data enrichment, or resale.
Client information is stored in email correspondence and invoicing records. We use Google Workspace for email, which provides encryption in transit and at rest. We do not store client data in unsecured spreadsheets, public documents, or any platform without access controls.
No financial information (bank accounts, card numbers) is ever stored by Forgesite Co.
In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your personal information, Forgesite Co. will notify affected clients via email within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach. Notification will include what data was affected and what steps are being taken.
While you are an active subscriber, we retain all information necessary to deliver and maintain your service — your contact info, business details, and communication history.
After cancellation, we retain your information for 12 months in case of billing disputes or service questions. After that period, personal data is deleted from our active records.
Invoice records may be retained for longer periods as required by accounting and tax law. These records contain your name and email but no sensitive personal information.
You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing build@forgesiteco.com. We will process deletion requests within 10 business days. Note that we may retain records required by law even after a deletion request.
Depending on your location, you may have legal rights regarding your personal data. As a California-based business serving California residents, we comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Right to know
You can request a summary of what personal information we hold about you and how it's being used.
Right to delete
You can request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
Right to opt out
You have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information — this right is already exercised by default.
How to exercise your rights
Email build@forgesiteco.com with your request. We respond within 10 business days. No forms, no portals, no runaround — just a direct email.
The forgesiteco.com website may use minimal cookies for basic analytics (Google Analytics). These cookies track aggregate usage — page views, referral sources, device types — and do not identify individual visitors.
Client websites built by Forgesite Co. do not include any cookies by default. If a client requests analytics tracking on their own site, it will be disclosed and configured transparently.
No advertising cookies
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or any tracking technology designed to follow users across websites for advertising purposes — on forgesiteco.com or on any client site we build.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective" date at the top of this page.
For existing clients, material changes to this policy will be communicated via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
